MUZIUM KOTA JOHOR LAMA

There is a museum that is rarely known to the public in Johor. It is located in Kota Tinggi, Johor and is one of the most important locations in the history of the state of Johor. It leaves much of the old history of Johor City and has its own historical value. This location is known as the Kota Johor Lama Museum. The Kota Johor Lama Museum is a museum placed under the administration of the Department of Museums Malaysia (Southern Region). The construction of the museum began in August 2004 and was fully completed in February 2007. The museum was first opened to the public in October 2007. The design of the museum building is characterised by the traditional house. The museum is the only museum that has been developed in an 'insitu' manner in an area that has made an important history in the development of the country's history. The main function of the establishment of this museum is to provide information and a clearer picture to those who love history to know more about the role of Kota Johor Lama which was once the centre of the important Malay government after the fall of the Malacca Sultanate in 1511. The continuation of the glorious heritage of the Melaka Malay Government continues to gain a foothold in the state of Johor and has coloured the local history of that time especially along the Johor River. This episode also played an important role in the johor government. The exhibition space in the museum is divided into several segments ranging from the introduction of Kota Lama Johor until archaeological studies have been carried out within the city by local and foreign researchers. This 'old house' building has its own attractions and can be further developed if it is commercialised and well maintained. The surrounding area, which is still green and surrounded by fruit trees, is suitable if paired with homestay and fruit orchards.
